Amending the Future Land lJse Map of properties located <br />along State Road 436. <br />Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated February <br />24, 2010, to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community <br />Development Department), Ms. Smith presented a PowerPoint Presentation to the Local Planning Agency (a copy is <br />attached and made a part of the minutes). In response to the Commission's question, Ms. Smith stated that the City <br />is required by state statute to notify properly owners thirty days prior to the hearing. Ms. Smith explained the notices <br />were prepared based on the information provided on the Seminole County Property Appraiser's website. <br />Mr. Parkhurst asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished. to speak in favor of, or in opposition <br />to, the request. Mr. David Henson, 233 Bridle Path, Casselberry, Florida came forward. He said he requested to be <br />removed from this amendment packet because of the permitted use table. He said he purchased his property in the <br />late 70's and developed the parcel as an automotive repair facility. He said it is currently being leased out to an <br />equipment rental business. Mr. Henson said the permitted and conditional uses for PMX-Mid eliminates all <br />automotive uses from that category. Mr. Henson stated that this change will limit his ability to lease his property to <br />specific tenants. <br />Ms. Connie Haiscott, 1518 Winter Green Boulevard, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Ms. Haiscott <br />expressed a concern with the City's notification process. She said fhat she did not receive any letters from the City <br />regarding this proposed change, Ms, Haiscott also expressed a concern that if the pool or tennis court were <br />damaged mare than 50%, the Association would require permission to rebuild those amenities. Ms. Haiscott <br />questioned the timing of the proposed amendment changes during these difficult economic times, <br />Mr. Jim Haiscott, 1518 Winter Green Boulevard, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Haiscott expressed <br />concerns with the City's notification process, the exclusion of the adjacent church properly and the maintenance of <br />the roads in his development, <br />
