Donation from State Forfeiture Funds to Lyman High School 2010 Project G.R.A.D.D. and Related Budget Amendment #10-020 Introduction: This item seeks approval to donate $1,000 from State Forfeiture Funds to the 2010 Project G.R.A.D.D. program at Lyman High School and related of Budget Amendment # 10-020. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the General Fund. The approval of this donation will result in the transfer and reduction of $1,000 from the State Forfeiture Fund. BA # 10-020 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to donate $1,000 to Project G.R.A.D.D. from the State Forfeiture Fund. This is a parent sponsored event which provides a safe drug and alcohol free environment for Lyman High School seniors, many of who are residents of the City of Casselberry, to celebrate the great accomplishment of the students. The best part is that this event has an education factor as well as reinforces and teaches the students that a celebration does not have to involve succumbing to the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol.
