<br />WHEREAS, the City desires to require vehicles parked in the residential district to be operational <br /> <br />and properly licensed or garaged; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry held a duly noticed public hearing on <br /> <br />the proposed changes set forth herein and hereby finds this Ordinance to be in the best interests of the <br /> <br />public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Casselberry and to be consistent with the City <br /> <br />of Casselberry's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: The Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry Part III, Article X, Section A., <br />General Requirements, is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />Section 3-10.9 Parking of vehicles in residential districts. <br />^- GeAeral Re~HiremeAts. The parking of oersonal use vehicles laroe vehicles and equipment, <br />and recreational equipment in residential districts shall be regulated as follows: <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />SECTION 2: The Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry Part III, Article X, Subsection <br />(A)(4) , Other restrictions, of Section 3-10.9, "Parking of vehicles in residential districts" is hereby deleted and <br />replaced in its entirety with the following text: <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />3. Parking of Personal Use Vehicles. The parking of any personal use vehicle within any residential lot <br />shall be prohibited unless said vehicle is parked in a garage or carport and/or in a driveway and/or <br />designated parking area. <br />a. The following definitions apply to this section only: <br />1) Circular driveway. A circular driveway is an access designed as a semi-circle with two aprons <br />onto the right-of-way. A landscaped or grassed area shall be provided between the circuiar <br />driveway and the right-of-way. <br />2) Drivewav. A path designed for vehicles that connect a residential unit or garage with a public <br />or private street. <br />3) Desianated Darkina area /DPAL An outdoor area on a residential iot which is designed in <br />accordance with the requirements of this section for the parking of vehicles. <br />4) Front yard.
