Mr. Paradise requested the CRA Board provide input to <br /> <br />staff regarding future activities to be included in the Capital Improvement Plan. <br /> <br />A general discussion ensued regarding the status of the road improvements for Anchor Road and the Clear <br /> <br />Channel billboard. <br /> <br />Sixth Item of Business: Property Acquisitions <br />- Lu - Rae Motel- Additional information per the Board's request. <br />- Black's Automotive <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise reviewed the information regarding the Black's Automotive site and the Lu Rae Motel (copies <br /> <br />of the information are on file in the Community Development Department). Mr. Paradise stated that staff would like to <br /> <br />set aside the purchase of the properties at this time to allow for a study of the individual properties in the CRD <br /> <br />corridor. He said the study would include age, viability, and how they could be combined and utilized based on <br /> <br />current future land use and zoning for the area. He said the study would provide information to assist in making <br /> <br />decisions on critical properties and where to focus resources in acquiring properties if any. A general discussion <br /> <br />ensued regarding the CRD property study and the purchase of the <br /> <br />Rae Motel and the Black's Automotive <br /> <br />property. <br /> <br />Mr. Daigle requested staff provide a quote for the study to the Community Redevelopment Agency. <br /> <br />Seventh Item of Business: Changes to the Fa~ade Grant Program - Request to move forward <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise stated the Facade Grant Program and the brochure have been modified with the following <br /> <br />changes: <br /> <br />II The application and approval process have been simplified. <br />.. Provide a higher rate of payment - up to $10,000 in a matching grant <br />II Possible higher payment upon approval of the CRA Board for special projects of merit <br /> <br />A general discussion ensued regarding the current and the revised Facade Grant Program. Mr. Paradise <br /> <br />said is recommending that the CRA adopt the changes to the existing Facade Grant Program. Mr. McGregor made a <br />
