Amendments to Article XIII, Landscape, and Article XIV, Tree Protection, of the Unified Land <br />Development Regulations to provide clarification and consistency. <br /> <br />Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated March 3, <br /> <br />2009, to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br /> <br />Department). A general discussion ensued regarding the installed cost a tree and fines for illegal removal of <br /> <br />trees. <br /> <br />Mr. Parkhurst asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition <br /> <br />to, the request. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. <br /> <br />Casselberry felt that the tree bank was not being used for tree preservation and felt that tree bank system <br /> <br />be reevaluated. He felt that the canopy of the tree should be evaluated. <br /> <br />Mr. Parkhurst asked for a motion to address ZB 09-01. Mr. Aramendia made a motion to approve a <br /> <br />favorable recommendation to the City Commission regarding ZB 09-01 dated March 3, 2009 from Ms. Smith to <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission as presented.
