Mr. Senzee explained that when the Eckerd <br /> <br />site was developed the City allowed the shifting of the landscaping materials away from the sign to create a visibility <br /> <br />cone around the sign. Mr. Senzee explained that there were accommodations made for the property to allow <br /> <br />visibility. <br /> <br />Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, explained that the Casselberry Exchange was granted a site <br /> <br />modification to reduce the parking space size and to eliminate the head to head parking. She explained that to <br /> <br />the modification the required landscaping for the head to head parking was required to be planted along the <br /> <br />perimeter of the site. Ms. Smith explained that this site is a planned mixed development whicll enables additional <br /> <br />enhancements to the site. Ms. Smith said that the Casselberry Exchange site plan was approved with the higher <br /> <br />landscape package around the perimeter around the entire site including the Eckerd <br /> <br />Mr. Bergin felt the reason that no trees were planted adjacent to the exit drive was due to site visibility <br /> <br />triangle issues. Mr. Bergin didn't think that they could adhere to the landscape plan in fuil capacity. He said <br /> <br />are proposing to remove 4 crape myrtles but 6 additional crape myrtles are being planted on the site. <br /> <br />Mr. Senzee said staff concurs that the site visibility triangle as well as the visibility for the sign be maintained <br /> <br />so there would not be full compliance with the previously approved plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Parkhurst asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition <br /> <br />to, the request.
