<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION AND COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />Minutes of September 30, 2008 - Special Joint Meeting <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />Redevelopment Agency a general concurrence with the preliminary conceptual layout and the two design <br />styles presented. Mr. Paradise stated the Steering Committee and staff are requesting direction in order to <br />move forward with the pro forma and the development and disposition agreement based upon the preliminary <br />concept layout and design style as a preliminary guide. The final site plans will go through the normal City <br />review process. <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />I) Mr. Craig Tull, 420 Ranch Trail, suggested inelusion of a pedestrian bridge over U.S. 17- <br />92 to the Target parcel to provide better pedestrian access to the City Center site. <br /> <br />2) Ms. Charlene Glancy, 210 N.E. Triplet Drive, inquired about the buffering between the <br />existing residential areas and the development, and if there was sufficient parking for the <br />project. Ms. Glancy stated she was supportive of the design concept. <br /> <br />3) Mr. Bob Buckley, 239 Lake Ellen Drive, concurred with the suggestion to inelude a <br />pedestrian bridge over U.S. 17-92 and further suggested that it be ineluded in the design, <br />even if it is not built for several years. <br /> <br />4) Mr. Ed Mathieu, 405 Misty Oaks Run, voiced concerns about future development of the <br />two separate outparcels. It was noted those properties will have to conform to the design <br />guidelines. Mr. Mathieu stated he preferred the Mediterranean design style. <br /> <br />5) Mr. Richard Henderson, 127 Mark David Boulevard, voiced concerns regarding the <br />inelusion of the residential element of the project. Mr. Henderson stated he wanted the <br />project to succeed but was concerned about what will draw the people into the project. <br /> <br />6) Mr. Harold Stewart, 2294 Park Maitland Court, concurred with Mr. Henderson's <br />comments, voicing concerns regarding what will draw people into the project. <br /> <br />7) Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns regarding the proposed <br />building elevations along the U.S. 17-92 corridor. <br /> <br />8) Ms. Leslie Yates, 248 Lake Griffin Cirele, inquired if the surrounding residents have been <br />notified of the proposed plans and stated that she liked the planned outdoor dining and <br />seating areas. <br /> <br />9) Mr. Dana Callan, 110 North Sunset Drive, complimented the design and configurations <br />presented and that he preferred the Mediterranean style. Mr. Callan stated he was <br />supportive of the City Center project. <br />
