<br />Section 3-16.4. On Dremises temporary sign regulations. <br /> <br />A. Portable sians: <br /> <br />1. Permit required: <br /> <br />a. A portable sign may not be displayed unless a permit is issued by the <br />City of Casselberry for the portable sign pursuant to the requirements <br />of Section 3-16.10. <br /> <br />b. A permit shall not be valid for longer than a period of 30 days from the <br />date of issuance, after which time the owner of the portable sign or <br />the owner of the premises shall remove the sign from the premises. <br />A permit cannot be renewed nor can a permit be obtained for the <br />same premises within a period of 120 days after the expiration of a <br />permit. <br /> <br />c. No more than two permits may be issued to the same premises in any <br />one calendar year. In the event a portable sign is not removed within <br />five (5) days after the expiration or revocation of the permit, no new <br />permit will be issued for that premises for a period of 180 days <br />following the removal of the portable sign. <br /> <br />2. Location: Portable signs are allowed in commercial, office and industrial <br />zoning districts. <br /> <br />3. Placement: Portable signs must be placed at the property line provided no <br />traffic or safety hazard is created, in which case they shall be set back a <br />minimum often (10) feet, and providing they are no closer than ten (10) feet <br />to the paved surface of the road. The placement of a portable sign in a <br />parking space which is required to meet the minimum parking requirements <br />for the premises is prohibited. The placement of a portable sign in the public <br />right-of-way is prohibited and will be cause for revocation of the permit. <br /> <br />4. Maximum heiaht and area: The sign area of portable signs shall not exceed <br />the exterior measurement of five feet (5) in height or ten (10) feet in length, <br />and shall not exceed a maximum of fifty (50) square feet in area per face. <br /> <br />5. Fastening of sign and locking of wheels: Each portable sign, when in use, <br />shall, in some manner, be securely fastened to a permanent structure or to <br />the ground; further, each trailer sign shall have its wheels locked so that only <br />the person renting, leasing, owning, or providing the sign shall have the <br />capability of unlocking the wheels. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 99-931 <br />Page 7 of 14 <br />
