Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Miller. Motion carried nnanimously by <br />voice vote 5 - O. <br /> <br />B. Resolution 08-1936 - Northeast Industrial Park Design Standards <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 08-1936 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AND ADOPTING SPECIFIC DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT <br />CRITERIA FOR THE PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE NORTHEAST <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK SUBDIVISION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY <br />AND EFFECTIVE DA TE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Gerald Paradise, Community Development Director, stated Resolution 08-1936 <br />provides for office and industrial development design standards for the properties within the Northeast <br />Industrial Park subdivision located adjacentto Belle Avenue and Winter Park Drive, south of State Road 434. <br />The City purchased 16.11 acres of property to enable the realignment of Winter Park Drive, north of <br />Seminola Boulevard. The remainder property located north of Gee Creek was subdivided into nine one acre+ <br />parcels. The Industrial future land use was provided for the property and I and 1M zoning were applied <br />within the subdivision. The City has surplused the property and will be actively seeking buyers for the <br />parcels. To ensure a quality office/industrial park development in the subdivision, staff has developed design <br />standards to be used in addition to the adopted City standards for site development criteria. The standards <br />were created to ensure proper site design, building design, and landscape design, some of which are currently <br />not addressed in the Unified Land Development Regulations and some are greater than those already <br />provided in the Unified Land Development Regulations. The design standards will be included in the sales <br />agreement for each property within the Northeast Industrial Park and will be required for design ofthe site <br />during the site plan approval process. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: This item has no budget impact. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of Resolution 08-1936. <br /> <br />Audience Input: The following individual came forward and addressed Ordinance 08-1936: <br /> <br />1) Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, stated he was opposed to allowing the <br />adult entertainment use in the 1M zoning because he felt the area was too close to residential <br />areas. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution <br />08-1936 as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice <br />Mayor Hufford. <br />
