Board Appointment - Community Redevelopment Agencv <br /> <br />Introduction: There is currently one vacancy existing on the Community Redevelopment Agency due to the <br />resignation of Charlene Duprat. After continuous recruitment efforts, one application was received from Mr. <br />Tomas Jimenez. Mr. Jimenez meets the eligibility requirements for the CRA through his employment with <br />5/3 Bank located at 4580 S. U.S. Highway 17-92 which is within the Community Redevelopment District. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: This item has no budget impact. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended that the City Commission consider <br />appointment of Tomas Jimenez to the Community Redevelopment Agency, term effective until January 2010, <br />filling the unexpired term of Charlene Duprat. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve the Consent <br />Agenda as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote 5 - O. <br /> <br />Presentation and Discussion: Seminola Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Extension Proiect <br /> <br />Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, gave a presentation on the history of the Seminola Boulevard small area <br />studies that have been conducted over the past several years and the issues identified by each of the studies, <br />as well as an overview of the proposed ordinances scheduled for public hearing after the presentation. A <br />copy of the presentation is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Torres, Public Works Director, gave a presentation on the Seminola Boulevard Sanitary Sewer <br />Extension Project. A copy of the presentation is attached to and made a part ofthese minutes. <br /> <br />City staff recommended: <br /> <br />Approval to construct a stand alone sewer system along Seminola Boulevard from Winter Park Drive <br />to Murphy Road. <br />Approval of easements and incentives requested by property owners. <br />Postponing the remaining portion ofthe Seminola Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Project to future years <br />in CIP until all the necessary utility easements have been obtained and the impact of other utility <br />infrastructure commitments have been fully assessed. <br /> <br />9.
