<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Mioutes of Augost 25, 2008 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 9 of 16 <br /> <br />M. SP 07-02 - Preliminary Plat for White Sands Sauare - 960 Belle Avenue. Winter <br />Springs. Florida <br /> <br />Introduction: Approval ofSP 07-02, preliminary plat for White Sands Square located at 960 Belle A venue <br />was requested by the applicant. The proposed re-plat aggregates two 43,650 square foot lots into one 87,300 <br />square foot lot. Since the proposed development is located on both parcels, this aggregation is required in <br />order for the proposed site plan (SPR 07-02) to proceed. The Planning and Zoning Commission <br />recommended approval of the preliminary plat to the City Commission at its April 11, 2007 meeting based <br />upon the following findings of fact: <br /> <br />The plat meets the development review requirements ofULDR 4-19.6, Subdivisions, ULDR Article <br />18, Site Plan Review, and Table 2-5.4, Size and Dimension Requirements. <br />The minimum lot size for I zoning districts is 20,000 square feet with a minimum lot width of 85 <br />linear feet. The proposed lot is 87,300 square feet with 300 linear feet of frontage along Belle <br />Avenue. <br />One 10 foot wide water main easement has been included on this plat along the north property line. <br /> <br />On March 13,2008, the applicant submitted a request for a 12 month extension of the previously approved <br />site plan (SPR 07 -02). The applicant stated the request was due to economic downturn which as affected the <br />business of White Sands Pool Plastering, Inc. The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a 6 month <br />extension to the site plan approval. In order to meet the new deadline, the applicant must have the <br />preliminary plat approved by the City Commission. The applicant has made all required revisions to the <br />preliminary plat to the satisfaction of the City Attorney and the contracted City Surveyor. The applicant <br />understand that the final plat must be reviewed and approved by the City Commission once site construction <br />is completed. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: This item does not impact the budget. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of SP 07-02, preliminary plat for White Sands Square. <br /> <br />N. Sole Source Purchase of Replacement Lift Station Pumps for Lift Stations #23.55. <br />58. 60. 61. and 82 <br /> <br />Introduction: Approval to purchase replacement pumps from ITT Water & Wastewater, Florida, LLC for <br />lift stations #23, 55, 58, 60, 61 and 82 for a total amount of $32,266.00. The City's utility guidelines <br />specifically identify Flygt pumps as the model of pump designated for all of the City's lift stations, which <br />is a sole source purchase item manufactured and distributed by ITT Water & Wastewater, Florida, LLC. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: Funds to cover the purchase of the replacement pumps were budgeted and available in the <br />Lift Stations Capital Outlay Account No. 401-0752-535.67-76. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Directorrecommended approval ofthe purchase <br />in the amount of$32,266.00 for replacement lift station pumps for Lift Stations #23, 55, 58, 60, 61 and 82. <br />
