Planning & Zoning Commission!
Local Planning Agency
July 26, 2006
Page 5

A discussion ensued regarding the political process and the Mayor's distribution of incorrect information to

the public.

After a brief discussion, Mr. Kelley read an excerpt from Mr. Ed Mathieu's email to the Planning and Zoning
Commission (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr, Kelley felt if a copy of Mr. Mathieu's email was
distributed to the residents that attended the City Commission meeting it would make a difference. Mr. Kelley felt the

overall picture was missed. Mr. Kelley said the em ail speaks to what the Planning and Zoning Commission is trying

to accomplish.

The Planning and Zoning Commission requested a copy of Mr. Ed Mathieu's email.

Mr. Miller said he didn't want to infer that the Planning and Zoning Commission's work is over on the

product. He said the Planning and Zoning Commission's assistance is needed and necessary to allow him to

minimize the emotions and get the facts and communicate the facts to arrive at a form that would get three votes.

There being no further business to come before the Board, motion was made, seconded, and passed to

adjourn.

Tapes of the meeting are available as a matter of public record.
