Zoning Change from R-9 to RMF.13 for the <br />property located at 851 Seminola Boulevard and the adjacent vacant property to the east. <br /> <br />Mr. Matt Dorsten, Planner, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated April 21, 2006, to <br /> <br />the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br />Department). Mr. Dorsten stated staff recommends approval of the rezoning request for the subject property at 851 <br /> <br />Seminola Boulevard and the adjacent vacant property to the east, from R-9 (Residential with a minimum lot size of <br /> <br />9,000 sq ft) to RMF-13 (Residential Multi-Family, 13 units per acre), based on the findings of fact and conclusions, <br />the staff report dated April 21, 2006, the property survey (Attachment B), and the reasons stated in the staff report <br /> <br />which are: <br /> <br />1. They are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br />2. They are compatible with the surrounding mix of zonings and land uses. <br />3. They will improve the economic redevelopment of the area and will increase property values. <br /> <br />Mr. Burlingame asked the applicant to come forward. Mr. Martin Van Duyvenbode, 2440 Oak Drive, Longwood, <br />Florida came forward. Mr. Duyvenbode stated he plans to build townhomes similar to the Antigua Bay and Wyndham <br />Woods development. <br /> <br />Mr. Burlingame asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition <br /> <br />to, the request. No one came forward. <br /> <br />After a brief discussion, Mr. Burlingame asked for a motion to address ZB 06-03. Mr. Parkhurst <br />recommended approval of ZB 06-03 based on staff's memo. Mr. Van Meter seconded the motion. <br /> <br />The Board was polled. <br /> <br />Harley Parkhurst Yes <br />Nathan Van Meter Yes <br />
