Mr. <br /> <br />Lauritsen was concerned with the quality of life in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Lauritsen said that Mr. Brooks said that the applicant did not understand the existing zoning. He said <br /> <br />the applicant's failure to do due diligence before purchasing the property should not penalize the adjacent property <br /> <br />owners. Mr. Lauritsen stated that Mr. Parramore is a professional land speculator and he does this for a living. Mr. <br /> <br />Lauritsen stated he has researched the pUblic records for Orange County regarding development projects by Mr. <br /> <br />Parramore. <br /> <br />Mr. Leewood Peeples, 1364 Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida came forward to speak against the request. <br /> <br />Mr. Peeples stated he purchased his property 43 years ago because it was sportsman's paradise. He said the <br /> <br />condominium development would generate noise, traffic and increased light pollution, require removal of trees and <br /> <br />reduce the quality of the lake. <br /> <br />After a brief discussion, Mr. Burlingame asked for a motion to address LPA 06-06. Mr. Henson <br /> <br />recommended denial of LPA 06-06 for 1316, 1324 and 1332 Lake Drive based on staff's memo dated April 21 ,2006 <br /> <br />to the Planning and Zoning Commission from Mr. Matt Dorsten. Mr. Weinroth seconded the motion. <br /> <br />The Board was polled. <br /> <br />Harley Parkhurst Yes <br />Nathan Van Meter Yes <br />Edmund Bakalla Yes <br />David Henson Yes <br />David Burlingame Yes <br />Stanley Weinroth Yes <br /> <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Henson recommended denial of ZB 06-02 based on staff's memo dated April 21, 2006 to the Planning <br /> <br />and Zoning Commission from Mr. Matt Dorsten.
