Change the 2nd whereas clause to read: "Whereas, the City of Casselberry desires to enhance the <br />economical value of the community and to protect its citizens". (same language as prohibited parking <br />ordinance) <br /> <br />2. Change the 5th whereas clause to read: 'Whereas, the City recognizes that permanent parking locations <br />on residential properties affect the appearance of a neighborhood and there is a need to provide <br />restrictions as to the location for recreation vehicle and equipment parking". <br /> <br />A lengthy discussion ensued regarding the screening of recreational equipment storage area. The <br /> <br />Commission wanted the screened requirements from the prohibited vehicles ordinance placed in the recreational <br /> <br />vehicle ordinance. <br /> <br />The Commission defined "long term" as in excess of 3 weeks. A discussion ensued regarding length of <br /> <br />stay for RV parking and the use of generators. Ms. Smith said the use of generators has been addressed in the <br /> <br />ordinance. The Commission decided that the use of generators would be prohibited. <br /> <br />Mr. Weinroth said he is against temporary or permanent living in a trailer. He said in an emergency situation <br /> <br />it would be acceptable. He said it is encouraging people to park RV's and it is an obstruction to the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Fifth Item of Business: LPA 06-07: Bufferina. Continued. A workshop to review the City of Casselberry's <br />ULDR requirements for buffering between incompatible uses. <br /> <br />Ms. Sandra Smith, Acting Community Development Director, reviewed the information provided in her <br />memorandum dated March 28,2006, to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in <br /> <br />the Community Development Department). Ms. Smith requested that the Planning and Zoning Commission review <br /> <br />the information and let her know if there is any additional information needed before the Commission proceeds. She <br /> <br />said she would provide a matrix at the next meeting comparing the various codes. <br /> <br />A recess was taken at 8:12 p.m. and the meeting reconvened at 8:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Sixth Item of Business: LPA 06-06 and ZB 06-02: William Parramore.
