<br />HDR will coordinate with the survey and geotechnical sub-consultants to obtain the <br />information they gather nilevant to the project. <br /> <br />Two (2) site visits will be conducted to review pertinent site characteristics and to review the <br />data collected and provided. Two (2) meetings will be conducted with the Client during the <br />design process. The Consultant will prepare meeting minutes highlighting agenda items <br />discussed, action items, as well as decisions reached at the meetings. <br /> <br />Task 2.0: Design and Plans Preparation <br /> <br />The consultant will design an emergency fix for the failed roadway approach to the North <br />Winter Park Drive Bridge at Gce Creek as well as slope stabilization mcasures for <br />immediately upstream and downstream of the bridge. It is anticipated that the design will <br />consists of removing and replacing the failed se,tion of roadway approach to the bridge, <br />backfilling under the bridge where the soil has been eroded, installing' concrete riprap or <br />fabric formed concrete along the cre.ek slope for 30' immediately upstream and downstream <br />of the bridge, installation of sheet pile wall in front of concrete wall underneath bridge and <br />overlaying the roadway section from the approach repair to the Winter Park Drive Extension <br />project currently under construction. The Consultant will prepare engineering design <br />drawings for 90% and Final Engineering Plan submittals for the proposed improvements. <br />The plans will be prepared using limited topographic information provided electronically by <br />Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation. The sheets will be developed to a <br />horizontal scale of I" = 40' on II" x 17" size sheets. The Consultant will prepare <br />Preliminary Estimate of Probable Costs utilizing the Florida Department of Transportation <br />(FOOT) Construction Contract Pay Items. The Consultant will prepare the necessary bid <br />documents including any necessary special specifications and provisions to be provided to <br />the project Contractor. <br /> <br />Task 3.0: Permitting <br />Due to the nature and scope of work bcing a maintenance activity, it is anticipated that a <br />permit exemption will be obtained. The Consultant will assist the City with coordination <br />with the SJRWMD for permit exemption. . <br /> <br />While all work ,viII be performed with professional care, the Consultant cannot guarantee the <br />actions of government officials and agencies to grant the desired approvals. <br /> <br />Task 4.0: Post Design Services <br /> <br />The consultant shall assist the City with the preparation of bid documents, schedule and <br />attend a pre-bid conference,. schedule and attend a construction kick-off meeting. In <br />addition, the consultant shall perfonn limited part-time construction inspect'ion to include <br />daily visits to the construction site to 'coordinate work activities with the contractor (up to a <br />maximum of 20 trips at 2 hours per trip), to answer questions with regards to construction <br />documents, and to coordinate with City staff and Engineer of Record. The Engineer of <br />
