<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />January 11, 2008 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br />staff reviewed the plans and reformulated what could be done on the corridor to maximize the pedestrian <br /> <br />element so the City could position with Department of Transportation to get as much funding for the project <br /> <br />as possible. <br /> <br />Ms. Wallace said staff is meeting next week with a representative from GAl and FDOT to review <br /> <br />the more finalized plans and she estimated the project would go out to bid in Mayor June. <br /> <br />Mr. Daigle made a motion to approve invoice #17920 for Concepts in Greenery. Ms. Campbell <br /> <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Sixth Item of Business: Old Business <br /> <br />The requested portion of the appraisal was distributed to the Board members. <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise said copies of the GLE contracts were distributed to the Board members (copies are <br /> <br />on file in the Comrnunity Development Department). He said a scope of services needs to be identified <br /> <br />along with an overall contract to allow GlE to perform architectural services for the City and the CRA. He <br /> <br />said staff would come back to the CRA Board with that information at a future date. <br /> <br />Mr. Daigle said he met with Mr. John Metsopoulos, US 17-92 CRA Program Manager, and he was <br /> <br />provided copies of the US 17-92 CRA Corridor Strategy for each subdistrict (copies are on file in the <br /> <br />Community Development Department). He said it identifies the different areas along the US Highway 17-92 <br /> <br />corridor. <br /> <br />Mr. Metsopoulos said the Board requested this information at the last CRA meeting. Mr. <br /> <br />Metsopoulos said the information was the blueprint utilized from the Glatting Jackson study to show the <br /> <br />future vision of US Highway 17-92. He said many of the parcels have been identified as mixed use; <br /> <br />however, at this time the parcels are not readily available. He said developers are showing an interest in <br /> <br />the corridor. He said there are plans to increase the intensities and densities along US Highway 17-92. Mr. <br /> <br />Metsopoulos said the hope is to create a seamless corridor along US Highway 17-92. <br /> <br />Mr. Metsopoulos said he is available to answer any questions. He said there is a 70 page report <br /> <br />for each subdistrict in the US Highway 17-92 corridor. <br />
