<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />January 11, 2008 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br /> <br />A general discussion ensued regarding the road projects and decorative lighting along the US <br /> <br />Highway 17-92 corridor. Mr. Metsopoulos said Seminole County has a sign program and he would bring <br /> <br />that information to the next CRA meeting. He said the plan is to have the same decorative signage <br /> <br />throughout the corridor; however, in each municipality the sign would include the city logo. He said the <br /> <br />signage would provide cohesiveness throughout the corridor. <br /> <br />Seventh Item of Business: Public Comment <br /> <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. <br /> <br />Casselberry questioned the mortgages on the "Nebel" property. Mr. Casselberry felt the Nebel buildings <br /> <br />have historical value. Mr. Casselberry said he could design something beneficial as an alternative site that <br /> <br />would be good for both parties if he was provided a copy of a scaled drawing of the three parcels adjacent <br /> <br />to the Target parcel. Mr. Casselberry questioned the borings that were discussed earlier in the meeting. He <br /> <br />said grout is added to borings on land and suggested grouting of the boring areas should be verified. <br /> <br />Mr. Casselberry suggested the City prepare a map of the City depicting the anchor stores to <br /> <br />determine areas that may be underserved. He said that the CRA goal should be redevelopment and felt <br /> <br />increasing densities was not a valid goal. <br /> <br />Ms. Lillian Selph, Quail Pond Circle, Casselberry, Florida came forward. She thought the total <br /> <br />mortgages on the Nebel property was $381,000 and estimated that Mr. Rubin has $381,000 plus cost <br /> <br />invested in the building. <br /> <br />A general discussion ensued regarding the historical value of the structures on the Nebel property. <br /> <br />Eighth Item of Business: Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br /> <br /> <br />Tapes of the meeting are available as a matter of public record. <br /> <br />
