<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />January 11, 2008 <br />Page 4 of6 <br /> <br />Fifth Item of Business: Approval of Invoices for Payments <br /> <br />CDM <br /> <br />Mr. Kelly Brock, City Engineer, said the majority of the CDM invoice is for geotechnical work for the <br /> <br />Anniversary Park project. He said during the geotechnical work muck was encounter which required <br /> <br />additional borings. He said the charge for the additional borings is not included in the current invoice and <br /> <br />the CRA would not be charged for the additional work. <br /> <br />Mr. Brock said CDM provided a preliminary cost estimate of $3.6 million for the park project. He <br /> <br />said the City is looking for grant funding. Mr. Brock estimated the Anniversary Park plans should be at 60% <br /> <br />completion within the next 30 days and he planned to provide an update to the Board at the next CRA <br /> <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Brock said staff has met with Dr. Wanielista, University of Central Florida, to discuss <br /> <br />educational elements and innovative techniques for stormwater stations in the park that will highlight <br /> <br />different technologies to improve water quality, conservation and "green" ideas. He said the Lakes Advisory <br /> <br />Committee provided input on public education elements. <br /> <br />Mr. Brock said at the Anniversary Park scope of services presentation, the Community <br /> <br />Redevelopment Agency expressed a concern that the vertical portion of the amphitheater was not being <br /> <br />constructed with this project. He said that CDM will coordinate with the company responsible for the vertical <br /> <br />construction of the amphitheater to ensure the concrete slab is designed structurally to support the <br /> <br />amphitheater. He said there is a pre-application meeting scheduled with St. Johns River Water <br /> <br />Management District within a few weeks. <br /> <br />Mr. Daigle made a motion to approve the CDM invoice. Mr. Jones seconded the motion. The <br /> <br />motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Mr. McGregor arrived at the meeting at 9:45 a.m. <br /> <br />Concepts in Greenery <br /> <br />Ms. Phyllis Wallace, Special Projects Coordinator, said Concepts in Greenery is the contractor for <br /> <br />the US Highway 17-92 right-of-way improvement project.
