<br />Planning & Zoning Commission! <br />Local Planning Agency <br />May 28, 2008 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Daniel Hale, Planning and Zoning Commission Alternate, 325 Southcot Drive, Casselberry, Florida came forward. <br /> <br />Mr. Hale questioned if the data analysis considered impact to police, fire and medical support. Ms, Smith said that the police <br /> <br />and fire support was not included in the analysis; however, staff reviews the impact to those areas during <br /> <br />site plan <br /> <br />process. She said the percentages for the various types of uses provide a mix that will allow the residential to support the <br /> <br />commercial in the area. <br /> <br />After a brief discussion, Mr. Buchanan asked for a motion to address LPA 08-04. Mr. Henson recommended <br /> <br />approval of LPA 08-04 and to fOf\vard to the City Commission with a favorable recommendation based on the staff memo <br /> <br />dated May 20, 2008 to the Planning and Zoning Commission from Ms. Smith. Comprehensive Plan Policy <br />Amendments to incorporate policy statements addressing the TCEA and new future land use designation. <br /> <br />Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated May 22, 2008, to the <br /> <br />City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development Department). <br /> <br />Smith requested the Planning and Zoning Commission provide a recommendation to the City Commission to adopt the <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Policy Amendments. <br /> <br />Mr. Buchanan asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, the <br /> <br />request. Ms. Jane Burgett, 4155 South Highway 17-92, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Ms. Burgett said she owns the <br /> <br />Black's Automotive property and the site is considered as a non-conforming site. She said they would like to remain at their <br /> <br />present location and would like to make improvements to the site, Ms. Burgett questioned how the mixed use change would <br /> <br />benefit her property. Ms. Burgett said it was her understanding that there would be no change to the grandfather status of a <br />
