Public Hearing and Second Reading of Ordinance 06-1194 Revision to ULDR Section 3-10.9, Parking <br />in Residential Districts <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 06-1194 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />PART III, ARTICLE X, SECTION 3-10.9(A)(I) OF THE CASSELBERRY CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES ENTITLED "PARKING OF VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICTS," ESTABLISHING THE CRITERIA DESIGNATING A LARGE <br />VEHICLE; PROVIDING APPROPRIATE PARKING LOCATIONS AND <br />SCREENING OPTIONS FOR LARGE VEHICLES IN SINGLE FAMILY AND <br />MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS; ALLOWING PARKING OF LARGE <br />VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS WHILE ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN <br />SERVICE WORK OR MAKING DELIVERIES; AMENDING CASSELBERRY <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES, PART II, CHAPTER 82, SECTION 82-127 ENTITLED <br />"TRUCK PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS" AND SECTION 82-134 ENTITLED <br />"PARKING OF LARGE VEHICLES" TO PROVIDE CONSISTENCY WITH PART <br />III, ARTICLE X, SECTION 3-10.9; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Le!!al Advertisement: The Public Hearing was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on May 31, 2007. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Ordinance 06-1194 revises the Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR) Section <br />3-10.9 that currently provides requirements for the parking of commercial vehicles in a residential district. The <br />section was rewritten to address all "Large" vehicles parking in residential districts. Large vehicles are defined <br />as follows: <br /> <br />I) Any vehicle greater that twenty-two (22) feet in length or eight (8) feet in height, including <br />attachments. <br />2) Any vehicle with commercial sign copy area greater than four (4) square feet and that exceeds <br />two (2) square feet or copy area on anyone side. Sign copy area may be reduced on a vehicle <br />by the use of a one-piece, solid colored magnetic cover of the same or similar color as the <br />vehicle to enable front yard parking as provided in Section 3-1O.9)A)(1)(A). <br /> <br />3) Any vehicle with commercial sign copy area on the front or rear of the vehicle. <br /> <br />4) Vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to: farm, grading or industrial equipment; <br />step vans; stake bed trucks; flatbed trucks; non-recreational utility trailers equal to or greater <br />than 20 feet, including the hitch; dump trucks; trucks without a bed; buses; tractor cabs; <br />
