FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br /> <br />No ordinances were presented for first reading. <br /> <br />11. RESOLUTIONS <br /> <br />A. RESOLUTION 07-1768 - AGREEMENT WITH JONES MECHANICAL <br />CORPORATION FOR CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF <br />ALUMINUM TANK COVERS AND BIOLOGICAL WASTEWATER ODOR <br />CONTROL SYSTEMS <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 07-1768 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN JONES <br />MECHANICAL CORPORATION AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF ALUMINUM TANK COVERS AND <br />BIOLOGICAL W ASTEW ATERODOR CONTROL SYSTEMS PROJECT; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Ed Torres, Public Works Director, stated Resolution 07-1768 provides for an <br />agreement with Jones Mechanical Corporation for the construction and installation of the aluminum tank <br />covers and biological wastewater odor control systems project. Jones Mechanical Corporation submitted <br />a bid proposal of $367,000.00, however, after discussions with the Finance Department and Jones <br />Mechanical Corporation, the project will be completed for $330,000.00. The construction is estimated to <br />be completed in 150 days. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: This project was estimated at $300,000. Funds to cover the actual project cost of <br />construction, $330,000 are budgeted and available in the Public Works Water Reclamation Fund - Capital <br />Outlay (#401-053-535.67.80). There will be no remaining balance in this fund after this project. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />07-1768 as presented. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Doerner moved to approve Resolution 07- <br />1768, as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote 5 - O. <br />
