Invited all to attend the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce Meeting on April 4, 2007; <br />Brenda Carey, Seminole County Commissioner, will be the featured speaker. <br /> <br />. Attended the CALNO Meeting on March 7, 2007; the main topic was the schedule for <br />the Local Option Gas Tax. <br /> <br />. Attended a conference held by the Florida League of Cities; main topics were unfunded <br />mandates and the proposed Property Tax Reform Legislation. <br /> <br />. Attended the 2007 Redevelopment Conference from February 28 - March 2, 2007. <br /> <br />. Attended the Florida Department of Community Affairs Office of Urban Opportunities <br />2007 Redevelopment Conference at the Florida Mall Hotel on March 1 and 2, 2007. <br /> <br />. Extended an invitation to attend the Rotary Club's International Folk Festival to be held <br />on Saturday April 14, 2007 at the Casselberry City Hall Complex. <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner <br /> <br />. Attended the 2007 Redevelopment Conference at the Florida Mall on March I and 2, <br />2007. <br /> <br />. Voiced objections to e-mails distributed by Mayor Goff that contained the phrase "Do <br />not Respond". The City Attorney responded that in 200 I the Attorney General ruled <br />that Commissioners can send out what is termed as "position statements", but they can <br />be problematic because they do tend to encourage a response. She suggested the <br />Commission develop a position statement on e-mails that could be crafted so as not to <br />infringe upon an individual's first amendment rights. <br />
