City Commission Meeting March 12, 2007 Page 9 Mayor Goff . Reported on the recent Mayors and Managers Meeting; presentations were given on the County-wide wireless and county-wide tornado sirens. A report was given by David Johnston, the Seminole County Property Appraiser on the Property Tax Reform Legislation. . All e-mails generated from the Mayor are on file in the City as part of the public record and are in complete compliance with the Sunshine Law. 18. Adiournment Mayor Goff moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Doerner objected and asked that the meeting be continued. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to continue the meeting for further discussion. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried on a 4 - 1 vote. Mayor Goff dissenting. Discussion: Commissioner Miller stated that obviously there was a political disagreement between the Mayor and Commissioner Doerner and this type of confrontation was hurting the City; disagreements on the Commission sets a bad precedent and the City's image and goals set by the Commission for City are at stake. Commissioner Hufford cautioned the Commission regarding communications as they relate to Sunshine violations. She disagree with the way the Commission Reports were handled in that the Mayor gets the last say. She also stated that all Commission e-mails should go through the City Manager. Commissioner Doerner stated that all communications should be in the public forum; this would be a great enhancement to our public image.
