CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of March 22, 2004 - Regular Meeting Page 3 of 24 Public Hearing: Mayor Pronovost asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to speak either for or against Ordinance 04-1119. No one came forward. Mayor Pronovost closed the public hearing. MOTION: Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve Ordinance 04- 1119 on second and final reading, as amended. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hart. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. Roll Call Vote of the City Commission: Commissioner Doemer - Yes; Commissioner Cook - Yes; Commissioner Hart - Yes; Vice Mayor Clark - Yes; Mayor Pronovost - Yes. Motion passed 5 - 0. II. SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE 04-1120 - AMENDMENT TO THE CITY CODE - CHAPTER 10 - HOURS OF SALE/BAR CLOSING MOTION: Vice Mayor Clark moved to read Ordinance 04-1120 by title only. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hart. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. The City Clerk read Ordinance 04-1120 by title as follows: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORDA, AMENDING SECTIONS 10-2, HOURS OF SALE GENERALLY, AND SECTION 10-3, CLOSING PROCEDURES, OF CHAPTER 10, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ELIMINATE THE PROVISION OF THIRTY (30) ADDITIONAL MINUTES FOR CONSUMPTION PURPOSES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Legal Advertisement: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Orffmance 04-1120 was published in the Orlando Sentinel on March 11, 2004. Staff Presentation: No staffpresentation was made. Public Hearing: Mayor Pronovost asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to speak either for or against Ordinance 04-1120. The following individuals came forward: 1) Bill Stevens, Executive Director of the Christian Coalition of Florida, 720 Oakland Hill Circle, #200, Lake Mary, spoke in favor of Ordinance 04-1120 and referenced several area cities and counties that have a similar ordinance.
