RESOLUTION NO. 04-1475 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A <br />CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AND SK <br />CONSORTIUM, INC. FOR PLANNING AND CIVIL ENGINEERING <br />SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the int~ion of thc Cass~lberry City Commission to purchase approximately <br />14.7 acres of land located immediately south of City Hall for the purpose of developing a community <br />center and for resale on the private market; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it to be in the public interest to properly plan for the <br />location of roads, stormwater facilities, other public infrastructure items and the future division of land <br />into marketable lots on the subject property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide for said planning of infrastructure and lots, the City will need <br />professional planning and civil engineering services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, thc City wishes to retain thc services of SK Consortium, Inc. to provide such <br />planning and civil engineering services; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION ONE. ~ Casselberry City Commission does hereby approve the subject contract <br />between the City of Casselberry and SK Consortium, Inc. for the provision of plmming and civil <br />engineering services in the amount of $12,180, plus reimbursable expenses. <br /> <br /> SECTION TWO. Bmee A. Pronovost, as Mayor, and Thelma McPberson, as City Clerk, be and <br />arc authorized to exeeu~ the documents n~essary for such contract for professional services (attached <br />as Exhibit A)" for and on behalf of the City of Cass¢lberry, Florida, <br /> <br /> SECTION THREE. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION FOUR. Scverability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves <br />to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, <br />or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br /> <br /> SECTION FIVE. Effective Date.
