RESOLUTION NO. o4-1468 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE AND APPROVE REVISIONS TO THE VEHICLE USE POLICY FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; PROVDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City maintains a vehicle fleet in excess of one hundred fifty (x5o) vehicles; and WHEREAS, there is a need to update the current policy approved by the City Commission at its meeting of February 7, 1994; and WHEREAS, the labor agreement between the Coastal Police Benevolent Association and the City of Casselberry has provisions for the unit members different from other employees; and WHEREAS, the proposed policy provides for uniform provisions for all employees; and WHEREAS, there have been several administrative changes to the use and maintenance of City vehicles. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The Vehicle Use Policy attached hereto is adopted and approved. SECTION II. The Vehicle Use Policy, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is adopted to be effective immediately upon its circulation and distribution, to all affected departments. SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION IV. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately' upon its passage and adoption. APPROVED and ADOPTED this/o~ ~ day of January, A.D. 2004.
