<br />ORDINAJ'lCE NO. 00-1000 <br /> <br />AN ORDINAJ'lCE OF THE CITY OF C;\SSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION V, IMPLEMENTATION, <br />OF THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 1999-2010 TO <br />CREATE ANEWFUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION AND <br />POLICY ENTITLED, "INDUSTRIAL-MEDIUM"; <br />CREATING POLICIES FOR THE LOCATION OF <br />Il\.'DUSTRIAL-MEDIUM USES WI-HCH SHALL ALSO <br />INCLUDE ADULT ENTERTAINMENT <br />ESTABLISHMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based upon the documents, which are referenced in the List of Submissions to the <br />Casselberry Gty Commission in Support of Ordinance No. 00-1000, the Gty Commission finds and <br />declares that this Ordinance advances the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the Gty <br />of Casselberry. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION I. That Section V, Implementation, of the Furure Land Use Element of the <br />Comprehensive Plan 1990-2010 shall be amended to create a new policy FLU 1.10 to be entitled <br />"Industrial-Meclium" which shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Policy FLU 1.10: Industrial-Meclium. Property designated Industrial-Meclium shall be <br />developed at a Floor Ratio no greater than 0.35. <br /> <br />A Properties designated as Industrial- Meclium shall provide for a wide range of <br />clean, meclium industry, including electronics and other high technology uses, <br />fabrication, warehousing, wholesale commerciaL manufacturing and support <br />office activities. <br /> <br />B. Properties designated as Industrial-Mecliumshall be appropriately screened and <br />buffered from adjacent residential uses and other non-industrial uses. <br /> <br />C. The Gty shall provide adequate locations for adult entertainment establishments <br />within the Industrial- 1'Iedium future land use designation as required by the <br />United States and Florida Constitutions. <br /> <br />D. Properties designated as Industrial-Meclium shall not be directly visible by the <br />traveling public from a major arterial roadway or collector roadway. <br /> <br />E. Properties designated as Indusuial-Meclium shall not have frontage along a <br />major arterial roadway or collector roadviav. <br /> <br />F. The Gty may enter into joint planning agreements with Seminole County or a <br />municipality or municipalities which provide for the multi-jtrri.sclictional siting <br />of adult entertainment establishment uses in certain areas of Seminole CoUntV, <br />whether incorporated or unincorporated. . <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 00-1000 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
