LLC FOR PROPERTY AT THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE PLUMOSA A VENUEIU.S. HIGHWAY 17-92
INTERSECTION ($82.000)

The City Clerk read Resolution 07-1761 by title as follows:

"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF THE SALE AND PURCHASE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
CASSELBERRY AND CRF-MAITLAND, LLC; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS,
SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE."

Staff Presentation: Mr. Ed Torres, Public Works Director, stated Resolution 07-1761 provides for a sale
and purchase contract between the City and CRF-Maitland, LLC, which is in conjunction with the proposed
intersection improvements at U.S. Highway 17-92 and Plumosa Avenue. In the engineering phase of the
project, it became apparent that property would be required from the southwest corner of Cambridge Oaks
to make the intersection and traffic signal function correctly. There is also a cemetery located at the
northwest corner of the intersection, and in order to avoid any conflicts the purchase of the additional
property and the realignment of the roadway are essential.

Budget Impact: The City's cost associated with this agreement is $82,000.00. The Public Works
Department budgeted $2,398,000 in the Infrastructure Surtax Fund account (114-710-541-63.43) for this
project. The remaining account balance after the purchase of the property will be $7,311,419.30.

Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution
07-1761.
