RESOLUTION 07-1747 - INTERLOCALAGREEMENTBETWEEN SEMINOLE <br />COUNTY AND THE CITIES IN SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION ON STORMWATER TOTAL <br />MAXIMUM DAILY LOAD IMPLEMENTATION ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 07-1747 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF THE INTERLOCALAGREEMENT BETWEEN SEMINOLE COUNTY <br />AND THE INCORPORATED CITIES WITHIN SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR TOTAL <br />MAXIMUM DAILY LOAD (TMDL) ACTIVITIES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Report: Mr. Ed Torres, Public Works Director, stated Resolution 07-1747 provides for an interlocal <br />agreement with Seminole County and all seven cities for cooperation on Total Maximum Daily Load <br />(TMDL) implementation activities, as required under the Federal Clean Water Act Section 303(d) and the <br />Florida Water Restoration Act. The City of Casselberry is grouped under the Middle St. Johns River Basin, <br />which includes Lake Jessup and its tributaries (Gee Creek, Soldiers Creek, Howell Creek, etc.). <br />Implementation of TMDL program elements will be incorporated into the City's National Pollutant <br />Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: The Interlocal Agreement presented herein does not require any funding. Funding requests <br />for specific projects to be performed under this Interlocal Agreement would be subject to the City's normal <br />budgeting and approval process. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of <br />Resolution 07-1747 as presented. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Doerner moved to approve Resolution 07- <br />1747, as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried nnanimously <br />by voice vote 5 - O. <br /> <br />B. RESOLUTION 07-1748 - AGREEMENT WITH MURPHY PIPELINE <br />CONTRACTORS FOR PIPE BURSTING ON GREGORY DRIVE. HIGHLAND <br />DRIVE. EAST AND WEST GRANDVIEW WAY.
