CPH Engineers, Inc.
Proposal File No. 06-60-790

-2-

FIELD EXPLORATION

The field exploration program will include the following:

Description Number of Depth Below Ground
Borings Surface (feet)
Aeration System 1 SPT 50
Clearwell and Pumps 1 SPT 20
Biofilter 1 SPT 30
Wet Stormwater Pond 1 Auger 20

The SPT borings will be drilled using a procedure similar to the Standard Penetration Test outlined
in ASTM D-1586. The boring will be sampled at 18-inch intervals to 10 feet deep and at 5-foot
intervals below 10 feet. The auger borings will be drilled using a 4-inch diameter truck-mounted
continuous flight auger. Each sample will be remoVed from the sampler or auger in the field and
then examined and visually classified by our crew chief. Representative portions will be seaied and
packaged for transportation to our laboratory for further analysis as required. Water level
observations will be made in the boreholes during the drilling operation. Cone penetration test
(CPT) soundings may be substituted for some of the SPT borings.

LABORATORY PROGRAM

Routine laboratory visual classification will be performed along with specific classification tests
deemed necessary (i.e., sieve analysis, Atterberg limits and organic contents).

ENGINEERING ANALYSIS AND REPORT

Engineering analysis of all data obtained will be made to evaluate general subsurface conditions
and to develop engineering recommendations to guide site preparation and foundation support.
For OUr analysis, we will require specific loading conditions for the structures.

Our recommendations for the structures, together with all data developed during the exploration,
will be submitted i1i a written report upon conclusion of the study.

COST ESTIMATE

The costs associated with the aforementioned tasks are estimated as foiiows. The total cost will
not be exceeded without prior authorization.

Stake Borings and Coordinate Utility Locations with Sunshine State
One-Call by Senior Technician; 3 hours @ $43,35/hour

$130.05

Mobilize Drilling Crew and Equipment;
1 mobilization @ $250.00/mob.

$250.00
