Motion was seconded by Commissioner Sandra T. Solomon and carried on a 5 - 0 vote. G. Resolution 06-1743 - Creation of Economic Development Director Position The City Clerk read Resolution 06- I 743 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A NEW POSITION TITLED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR; TRANSFERRING FUNDS TO MEET EXPECTED EXPENDITURES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1743 authorizes the establishment of a new position titled Economic Development Director, approves the job description, assigns a pay grade and transfers fund to meet expected expenditures for the new position during fiscal year 2007. The position is a highly professional and technical position that will coordinate the City's needs for local economic development and will provide day-to-dy administration of the CRA Board operations. The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has agreed to fund this position at a 50% level with the City. Position will be at a pay grade 08 with salary range of $63,504 to a maximum of$105,840. The Economic Development Director will report directly to the City Manager and function as a member of the City Manager's senior management team. Staff Recommendation: Approval of Resolution 06-1743 as presented. Hufford and carried on a 5 _ 0 vote. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to approve the Budget Amendment in the amount of $45,000 to cover the City's portion of the new position. Resolution 06-1744 - Sub-recipient Agreement with Seminole County for $150,000 Community Development Block Grant for Senior Center Improvements The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1744 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AND SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR THE RECEIPT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING TO CARRY OUT THE FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007 BLOCK GRANT PROJECT FOR THE SENIOR CENTER TARGET AREA; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY,AND EFFECTNE DATE."
