Staff Presentation: Resolution 06- I 738 approves a contract with Murphy Pipeline Contractors, Inc. for the replacement of the potable water main located at the intersection of Triplet Lake Drive and Melody Lane and proceeding to the west along Triplet Lake Drive to U.S. 17-92, which is more than thirty (30) years old. The contract price with Murphy Pipeline is $58,000 for the "bursting" of 725 liner feet of 6" asbestos cement water main pipe to 10" polyethylene pipe. The substantial capital investment associated with the upcoming Triplet Lake Drive project ($3.6 M), necessitates the subsurface infrastructure be upgraded to an acceptable condition. Staff Recommendation: Approval of Resolution 06-1738 as submitted. Audience In nut: Mr. John Casselberry, 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida, stated that soil testing should be done before the beginning of the project. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to approve Resolution 06-1738, Contract with Murphy Pipeline Contractors, Inc. for water main replacement, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried on a 5 - 0 vote. C. Resolution 06-1739- Agreement with American Water Services Underground Infrastructure for Pipe Lining of Storm Sewer Pipes on Lancelot Way and Bridle Path ($50,736) The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1739 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY. FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PROPOSAL FOR STORM SEWER PIPE LINING WITH AMERICAN WATER SERVICES UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE, INC.; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTNE DATE." Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1739 approves a contract with American Water Services Underground Infrastructure for pipe lining of storm sewer pipes on Lancelot Way and Bridle Path. This project is necessary due to the age of the lines, physical condition and excessive joint separations, which create depressions on roadways and lor lawns. The cost for "lining" of 504 liner feet of storm sewer pipes ranging in size from 18"" to 24" is $50,736. Staff Recommendation: Approval of Resolution 06-1739 as presented. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner to approve Resolution 06-1739, Agreement with American Water Services for storm sewer pipe lining, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford and carried on a 5 - 0 vote.
