<br />I. <br /> <br />"Recyclable Materials" shall mean those materials which are <br /> <br />capable of being recycled and which would otherwise be processed or disposed of as <br /> <br />solid waste, included, but not limited to, newspapers, glass bottles, metal cans (aluminum <br /> <br />and delabeled tin), plastic containers and such other recyclable materials as the parties <br /> <br />may designate in writing. <br /> <br />70-55. TERM. <br />a. This Franchise shall terminate on September 30th, following the <br /> <br />effective date hereof; provided, however, the City reserves the right to terminate the same <br /> <br />prior thereto if the Franchisee defaults in anyone of the terms and conditions hcrein <br /> <br />specified. <br /> <br />b. On October I st, this Franchise shall be automatically extended for <br /> <br />an additional term expiring the following September 30th, provided the Franchisee shall <br /> <br />make application for said extension prior to its termination, and upon approval of the City <br /> <br />Commission. <br /> <br />70.56. SERVICE. <br /> <br />a. Minimum Service. The Franchisee shall make at least two (2) <br /> <br />weekly collections at all commercial establishments subject to the terms ofthis Franchise <br /> <br />and at sufficient additional intervals necessary to protect the environment, unless <br /> <br />otherwise approved in advance by the City, provided however, where the refuse is <br /> <br />exclusively non-putrescible in nature, once weekly collections are permitted. <br /> <br />Commercial establishments may be required to have more than two (2) weekly <br /> <br />collections if needed and when notified by the City. Such collections shall bc the <br /> <br />responsibility of the commercial establishment to schedule and pay for such collections. <br /> <br />4 <br />
