Acquired a vacant piece of property due to foreclosure; which will be placed on the market as surplus <br />property for sale by the City. <br /> <br />Joro Lawsuit has been denied and ruled in the City's favor. <br /> <br />16. City Clerk's ReDort <br /> <br />Reported that August 14 - 18, 2006 was Candidate Qualifying Week for the City election on <br />November 7, 2006. One candidate has qualified so far - Ms. Sandi Solomon, Seat 3. <br /> <br />Volunteer Board Training has tentatively been set for September 6, 2006 in the Commission <br />Chambers. Ms. Marilyn Crotty of the Institute of Government will be conducting the training. <br /> <br />17. City Commissioners' ReDorts/Comments <br /> <br />Comm issioner Doerner <br />. Requested staff look into supplying packets that welcome new residents to Casselberry. <br /> <br />. Stated that she was very disappointed with the series of events with the downtown project and <br />Unicorp pulling out of the deal, but she was sure the City would eventually have a very nice <br />downtown corridor. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cook <br />. Attended the Florida League of Cities Annual Conference August 10 - 13,2006 <br /> <br />Requested status of the Board Members that have executed the Code of Boardman ship Policy that is <br />required to be executed by each Board Member. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hufford <br />. Attended the Florida League of Cities Conference August 10 - 13,2006 <br /> <br />. At the Florida League of Cities Annual Conference, she attended a session on Home Rule Session <br />conducted by Anthony Garganese. <br /> <br />. Reported that the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce Hob Nob will be held Wednesday, August 16, <br />2006 at Lyman High School <br /> <br />Commissioner Hart <br />. Attended the Florida League of Cities Annual Conference August 10- 13,2006. The sessions were <br />very informative especially the one on disaster preparedness and eminent domain. <br />
