City Commission Meeting <br />April 24, 2006 <br />Page 6 <br />Staff Presentation: Ordinance 06-1193 is the result of an Operating Fees Study that was completed <br />in January 2006. The study undertaken by the Fire Department was based on a comparison of fees <br />and charges for fire prevention related services of all jurisdictions in Seminole County and the <br />recommendation for building permit surcharges for training and technology. The ordinance will <br />authorize the imposition of fees for fire prevention related services and the fees will be established <br />by resolution after Ordinance 06-1193 is enacted by the Commission on second reading, which will <br />be scheduled for May 22, 2006. The Resolution regarding establishing the fees will be presented to <br />the Commission subsequent to the second reading of the ordinance. The ordinance has been <br />reviewed by the City Attorney. <br />Staff Recommendation: Approve Ordinance 06-1193 on first reading and schedule final public <br />hearing for May 22, 2006. <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to approve Ordinance 06- <br />1193, Amending Chapter 42 of the City Code, as presented. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried on a 5 - 0 vote. <br />D. Approval of Proposed Budget Calendar for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to approve the proposed <br />budget calendar for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 as presented. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried on a 5 - 0 vote. <br />The approved Budget Calendar is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />E. Resolution 06-1672(A) - Request to Seminole County Board of County Commissioners to <br />Extend the Casselberry Community Redevelopment Agency's Term from 2015 to 2025 <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1672(A) by title as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO COMMUNITY <br />REDEVELOPMENT; RECOMMENDING EXTENSION OF THE <br />AUTHORIZED TERM OF THE CASSELBERRY COMMUNITY <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BY TEN YEARS TO THE YEAR 2025 <br />CONSISTENT WITH SECTIONS 163.362, FLORIDA STATUTES; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1672(A) will extend the term of the Community Redevelopment <br />Agency (CRA) an additional ten years to 2025, the maximum allowable time per Florida Statutes. <br />This resolution was approved by the Community Redevelopment Agency Board at their meeting on <br />
