<br />City Commission Meeting <br />March 27, 2006 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Commissioner Cook <br />. Attended the Police Awards and Ceremony held on March 15,2006 in the Commission Chambers. <br />. Congratulated Mr. Dreier and the Finance Department on receiving the GFOA Distinguished Budget <br />Award. <br />Attended the Tri-County Luncheon on March 16, 2006 which featured a presentation by MGT on <br />Code Compliance. She requested the City Manager schedule a presentation with MGT in conjunction <br />with Mr. John Drago, City Manager of the City of Longwood. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hufford <br />. Congratulated the Police Officers that were honored during the Ceremony on March 14, 2006. <br />. Requested staff research the matter of garage sales being used as merchandising for stores instead of <br />a service for the citizens. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hart <br />. Attended the Police Officers Award Ceremony held on March 15,2006 and congratulated all the <br />receipants. <br />. Also congratulated the Finance Department for their distinguished Budget Award from the <br />Government Finance Officers Association. <br />. CALNO Meeting will be held April 4, 2006 at the Longwood Civic Center. <br />Also requested a presentation by MGT to address the Code Compliance issue. <br /> <br />Mayor Goff <br /> <br />The Seminole Community College Board of Trustees approved the contract for the taping with <br />SGTV. He stated that he had passed it on to the City Manager for inclusion on the Agenda for April <br />24, 2006 for approval. <br /> <br />. Reported on the issues approved by the Joint City/County Advisory Committee at their last meting. <br /> <br />. Requested a status report regarding Interlocal Agreement with Longwood regarding Utility Services <br />Areas in the U.S. Highway 17-92 and State Road 434. <br /> <br />13. Staff ReDorts <br /> <br />A. Traffic Safety Presentation - Informational Only <br /> <br />Mr. Stampfler stated that Robin Butler with the Seminole County Traffic Engineering Department will give <br />a presentation regarding traffic safety at the next City Commission Meeting scheduled for April 24, 2006. <br /> <br />B. Buffering Issues - Informational Only <br /> <br />Mr. Stampfler indicated that the Planning and Zoning Commission will be addressing the issue of buffering <br />between commercial and residential areas in the City. <br />
