Resolution 06-1646 - Agreement Between the City of Casselberry and the Coastal Florida Police <br />Benevolent Association <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1646 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RATIFYING <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE COASTAL FLORIDA POLICE <br />BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION (POLICE LIEUTENANTS); PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS; SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE" <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1646 presents the first contract between the City and the newly formed <br />Police Lieutenants' Bargaining Unit, which is composed of four employees. The estimated cost of the <br />contract is $36,177 for F.Y. 2005-2006, which includes wage increases and fringe benefits <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approval of Resolution 06-1646. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Linda Hart to approve <br />Resolution 06-1646, Police Lieutenants' Bargaining <br />Contract, as presented. Resolution 06-1647 - Parks & Recreation Fees <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1647 by title as follows: <br /> <br />'A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING <br />AND ADOPTING PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FEES FOR <br />FACILITY USE, RECREA TION PROGRAMS, AND SPORTS REGISTRA TION,AS <br />PRESENTED IN EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: The Parks and Recreation Department completed a comprehensive study of its fees and <br />charges for recreation and facilities use programs. These fees were compared to those of surrounding cities <br />and the changes recommended are within the acceptable range ofthe other cities. The non-resident fees are <br />at a set rate higher than resident fees for each program. Subsequently, the department intends to bring <br />forward proposed fees on a yearly basis. <br />
