<br />City Commission Meeting <br />January 23, 2006 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Ordinance 06-1178 amends City Code 82-2, Parking Fines. The proposed changes are <br />in line with fines being charged by surrounding municipalities and the increase should increase revenue from <br />$10,000 a year to approximately $30,000. The Police Chief proposed fines for parking violations be <br />increased as follows: <br /> <br />. Section 82-2(3) b(l) - Current $10 - Proposed $30 <br />. Section 82-2(3) b(2) - Current $25 - Proposed $30 <br />. Section 82-2 (3)b(3) - Current $100 - Proposed $141.50 <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approve Ordinance 06-1178 on first reading and schedule for second reading and <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner to approve <br />Ordinance 06-1178, Parking Fines, as presented staff. <br />The motion was seconded by Commissioner Colleen S. <br />Hufford and carried unanimously by voice vote. (5 - 0) <br /> <br />H. Resolution 06-1643 - Lease Purchase of Fire Rescue Vehicle <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1643 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY TO ENTER INTO EXHIBIT TO THE MASTER LEASE <br />AGREEMENT DATED OCTOBER 12, 2000, WITH SUNTRUST LEASING <br />CORPORATION FOR THE LEASE OF ONE (1) 2006 RESCUE VEHICLE: PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1643 authorizes the Master Lease Agreement with SunTrust Leasing <br />Corporation for the purchase of a Rescue Vehicle from America LaFrance MedicMaster. The vehicle is <br />being purchased through the Florida Sheriff's Association contract for a total cost of$199,411.09. The lease <br />purchase agreement is for a ten (10) year period, at an interest rate of 4.08%; total lease purchase cost will <br />be $237,159.80. There is $41,600 budgeted in the Fire Department as the first year lease payment. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approve Resolution 06-1643. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to <br />approve Resolntion 06-1643, Lease Purchase <br />Agreement for Rescue Vehicle, as presented. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner <br />and carried nnanimously by voice vote. (5 - 0) <br />
