<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />!\1inutes of January 9, 2006 . Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 13 <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Linda Hart to approve the <br />Envision Seminole Survey Task Force req uest of$3,000 <br />to participate in survey. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Colleen Hufford and carried on a 3 - 2 <br />vote. Commissioners Doerner and Hufford dissenting. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to appoint <br />the City Manager as representative at the Envision <br />Seminole Special Meeting on February 17, 2006 to <br />help formulate questions for the survey. The motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and <br />carried unanimously by voice vote. (5 - 0) <br /> <br />12. Commission ReportslRequests <br /> <br />Commissioner Susan Doerner - Seat #1: <br /> <br />. Requested a reassessment of the roll call voting order currently used to poll commissioners. She <br />recommended the current process be replaced by random polling. The consensus of the Commission <br />was to have this item placed on the next Agenda for discussion. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kathy Cook - Seat #2: <br /> <br />Extended condolences to former Mayor Andrea Dennison on the passing of her mother, Bernadette <br />Hilliard. Services for Mrs. Hilliard will be on Thursday, January 12,2006, 10:30 a.m., St. Augustine <br />Church. <br /> <br />. Attended the Tiger Bay luncheon on Friday, January 6, 2006 and was caught off guard by reports <br />that the City's Concord Center property was going to be used for a civic center, because the intent <br />of the Commission was this property was to be sold. Mr. Stampfler stated there have been no <br />recommendations regarding the Civic Center nor for the sale of the Concord property. <br /> <br />Asked the City Manager if the policy regarding communication betweell Commissioners alld <br />Department Head had been changed. Mr. Stampfler stated there have been no changes in policy, <br />Commissioners may communicate with Department Heads at any time, but ifthe Commission wishes <br />to hold him responsible for the operation of the government and the administration, communication <br />should be channeled through the City Manager. <br /> <br />Commissioner Colleen Hufford - Seat #4: <br /> <br />Attended the CALNO Meeting on January 4,2006; topic of discussioll was dynamics of monitoring <br />sexual predators on the State level and the fundillg for monitoring of the program. <br /> <br />Traveled to Biloxi, Mississippi with the Police Department to deliver toys during the Christmas <br />season. She commended the Police Department for and excellent job in working with the City of <br />BiJoxi, particular Officer Hudson. She stated that she participated in this event as a volunteer at no <br />expense to the City. <br />
