Regular Meeting Page 12 of 13 MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Linda Hart to approve the Envision Seminole Survey Task Force req uest of$3,000 to participate in survey. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Colleen Hufford and carried on a 3 - 2 vote. Commissioners Doerner and Hufford dissenting. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to appoint the City Manager as representative at the Envision Seminole Special Meeting on February 17, 2006 to help formulate questions for the survey. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously by voice vote. (5 - 0) 12. Commission ReportslRequests Commissioner Susan Doerner - Seat #1: . Requested a reassessment of the roll call voting order currently used to poll commissioners. She recommended the current process be replaced by random polling. The consensus of the Commission was to have this item placed on the next Agenda for discussion. Commissioner Kathy Cook - Seat #2: Extended condolences to former Mayor Andrea Dennison on the passing of her mother, Bernadette Hilliard. Services for Mrs. Hilliard will be on Thursday, January 12,2006, 10:30 a.m., St. Augustine Church. . Attended the Tiger Bay luncheon on Friday, January 6, 2006 and was caught off guard by reports that the City's Concord Center property was going to be used for a civic center, because the intent of the Commission was this property was to be sold. Mr. Stampfler stated there have been no recommendations regarding the Civic Center nor for the sale of the Concord property. Asked the City Manager if the policy regarding communication betweell Commissioners alld Department Head had been changed. Mr. Stampfler stated there have been no changes in policy, Commissioners may communicate with Department Heads at any time, but ifthe Commission wishes to hold him responsible for the operation of the government and the administration, communication should be channeled through the City Manager. Commissioner Colleen Hufford - Seat #4: Attended the CALNO Meeting on January 4,2006; topic of discussioll was dynamics of monitoring sexual predators on the State level and the fundillg for monitoring of the program. Traveled to Biloxi, Mississippi with the Police Department to deliver toys during the Christmas season. She commended the Police Department for and excellent job in working with the City of BiJoxi, particular Officer Hudson. She stated that she participated in this event as a volunteer at no expense to the City.
