<br />RESOLUTION 97-1072 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, IMPOSING ADDITIONAL SELECTION <br />CRITERIA AMONG CONSULTANTS UNDER CONTINUING CONTRACTS <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) sets forth the <br />requirements for the procurement and contracting of Professional Engineering Services by a <br />municipality, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CCNA does not provide criteria for negotiating a contract for <br />Professional Services under a continuing contract, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry desires the completion of design projects in the <br />most efficient and economical manner possible, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry desires to establish further selection criteria <br />among consultants under a Continuing Contract for Professional Services; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION ONE. <br />(1) Professional services required for any project which is not within the scope of a <br />continuing contract between the city and a service provider, which services are included <br />within the scope of the Act, shall be procured in accordance with the provisions of the Act. <br /> <br />(2) Professional services required for any project which is within the scope of a continuing <br />contract between the city and a service provider, which services are included within the <br />scope of the Act, shall be procured in accordance with the following procedure: <br /> <br />a. The department head in charge of the project for which such services are required <br />shall determine which of the service providers then under continuing contract with <br />the city are potentially capable of providing the required services. <br />b. Such department head shall then request each such provider to submit a proposed <br />scope of services and a fee quotation therefor. <br />c. Such department head shall, with such assistance as he deems necessary, review the <br />proposals received; in the event he determines it to be in the overall best interest of <br />the city he may, prior to completing his review, enter into negotiations with any <br />service provider, as aforedescribed, which has submitted a proposal with respect to <br />the proposed scope of services, the proposed fee, or both, in order to have the <br />project completed in the most efficient and economical manner possible; upon the <br />
