<br />SECTION IV. Residence within the city. Residence <br /> <br />within the terri- <br /> <br />torial limits of the city of Casselberry, Florida, shall not be required upon <br /> <br />initial appointment. The appointee shall locate his/her permanent residence <br /> <br />within the City within one hundred eighty (180) days after the appointment <br /> <br />and permanently reside within the municipal limits of the City during his/her <br /> <br />tenure of appointment. <br /> <br />SECTION V. Restriction on Appointment. No elected city official shall <br /> <br />be eligible for the position of City Manager during the term of office or for <br /> <br />the period of two (2) years from the expiration of the elected officials last <br /> <br />term of office. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II. INFLUENCE FROM COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />SECTION I. Commission Members. The Commission shall not direct or <br /> <br />request the city Manager, neither individually nor through its Boards or <br /> <br />Committees, to appoint or remove any person, assistants to the City Manager, <br /> <br />or other subordinates from office or employment. <br /> <br />The commission members shall not coerce nor attempt to <br /> <br />coerce or influence the City Manager with respect to the award or rejection <br /> <br />of contracts, the purchase of supplies, or the fair and reasonable <br /> <br />application of required bid procedures. <br /> <br />SECTION II. Open Meetings. Nothing <br /> <br />herein <br /> <br />contained <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />constituted to prohibit the Commission, while in open session, from fully and <br /> <br />freely discussing with the City Manager matters pertaining to appointment and <br /> <br />removal of an officer of the City, contracts, purchases, bidding procedures, <br /> <br />and any and all City affairs. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
