<br />ORDINANCE NO. 696 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL OF A CITY <br />MANAGER; PROVIDING THE DELEGATION OF DUTIES AND <br />RESPONSIBILITIES; DECLARATION OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND <br />RESPONSIBILITIES; PROVIDING QUALIFICATIONS; SALARY <br />AUTHORITY; CONTROLLING INFLUENCE BY THE COMMISSION; <br />PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />BE IT BNACTED BY TBB CITY COMKISSION OF TBB CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />ARTICLE I. APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />SECTION I. Authority and Regulations. The <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Commission <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />appoint a City Manager of the City government pursuant to Article V, Section <br /> <br />23, <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City Charter who shall serve as the chief executive, <br /> <br />administrative and enforcement officer of the City in accordance with the <br /> <br />City Charter, Ordinances, Resolutions, and rules and regulations established <br /> <br />by the Commission from time to time. <br /> <br />SECTION II. Majority vote Required. His/her appointment shall require <br /> <br />a majority vote of the entire Commission. <br /> <br />SECTION III. Qualifications, Education, Training. College or Univer- <br /> <br />sity bachelor's and preferably a graduate degree in Public Administration or <br /> <br />Business Administration and five (5) years of progressively responsible <br /> <br />experience as an Assistant City Manager or Assistant County Manager or an <br /> <br />equally responsible position in governmental or military administration or <br /> <br />management. <br />
