<br />City Commission Meeting <br />December 12, 2005 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />Commissioner Cook- <br /> <br />· Attended a Seminole County/Cities reception on November 17, 2005. <br /> <br />Congratulated City Resident, David Longstaff, for receiving the Bronze Star with V a!or for <br />his service in Iraq. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hufford - <br /> <br />· Participated in the Bike Race, Saturday December 10,2005. <br /> <br />Will be traveling with the Police Department on December 14, 2005 to Biloxi, MS to <br />deliver toys to 5,670 children affected by Hurricane Katrina. Commissioner Hufford <br />thanked the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce and businesses fortheir contributions to this <br />effort. <br /> <br />Suggested that information on our website be recorded and played on our new Radio Station <br />1640 AM. <br /> <br />· Was out of town and missed the Tree lighting Ceremony. <br /> <br />· Asked that the City Manager insure that Seniors get the quietness they need for their Bridge <br />Club Meetings. <br /> <br />Suggested the City hire someone with economic development experience to promote the <br />City economically. <br /> <br />· Wished all a Merry Christmas. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hart - <br /> <br />· <br /> <br />December CALNO Meeting in Winter Springs was cancelled due to lack of a quorum. The <br />Winter Springs City Manager did give an overview regarding shared boundaries between <br />Winter Springs, Longwood and Casselberry. The next scheduled meeting for CALNO is <br />January 4, 2006. The meeting may be postponed until January II, 2006 because of the <br />holidays. Casselberry will be hosting CALNO on February 1,2006. <br /> <br />· <br /> <br />Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was well attended. Congratulated the Parks Department <br />for their work in putting the program together. <br /> <br />· <br /> <br />Santa Run proceeded very well, thanked all participants. <br />
