<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 26, 2005 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 3 of to <br /> <br />Legal Advertisement: The legal advertisement for the millage adoption was published as a display <br />advertisement in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, September 22, 2005, in accordance with the TRIM <br />(Truth in Millage) legislation. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mrs. McPherson announced that the City Commission had previously adopted the <br />tentative tax rate of5.0 mills in accordance with state statutes, which was the same as the current year. Mr. <br />Segreto stated adoption of 5.00 mills represents a 7.55% tax increase above the rollback rate which <br />necessitated advertisement as a "Notice of Tax Increase" even though the millage rate remained the same. <br />The first public hearing relative to the adoption of the proposed millage rate was held Monday, September <br />12,2005. Staff recommended approval of Resolution 05-1616. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: No audience comment request forms were received for Resolution 05-1616. Mayor Goff <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Hufford moved to approve Resolution 05-1616 <br />as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Doerner. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />B. RESOLUTION 05-1617 - ADOPTION OF FY 2005/06 BUDGET <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1617 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A <br />BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />BEGINNING OCTOBER I, 2005, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2006, <br />APPROPRIATING AND ALLOCATING REVENUE OF THE CITY TO THE GENERAL <br />FUND OPERATIONS AND THE ENTERPRISE FUND FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Legal Advertisement: The legal advertisement for the budget adoption was published as a display <br />advertisement in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, September 22, 2005, in accordance with the TRIM <br />(Truth in Millage) legislation. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Segreto stated the total proposed operating expenditures/expenses for Fiscal Year <br />2005/2005 was $44,260,752. The first public hearing relative to the adoption of the proposed budget was <br />held Monday, September 12,2005. Staff recommended approval of Resolution 05-1617. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: No audience comment request forms were received for Resolution 05-1617. Mayor Goff <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hart moved to approve Resolution 05-1617 <br />as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Hufford. <br />
