Wells, AICP <br />Community Development Director <br />City of Casselberry <br />95 Triplet Lake Drive <br />Casselberry, Florida 32707 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 05-1169 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, BY AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP, ESTABLISHING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP <br />DESIGNATIONS FOR THOSE SPECIFIC PARCELS AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I <br />OF THIS ORDINANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE "WESTSIDE SMALL AREA <br />STUDY CONCEPTUAL PLAN;" PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the properties described in Section I are located within the corporate boundary of the <br />City of Casselberry; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry Community Development Department conducted a detailed and <br />thorough Small Area Study of that portion of the City located west of US Highway 17-92; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the study produced the 'Wests ide Small Area Study Conceptual Plan" attached hereto <br />as "Exhibit A," which formed the basis for Future Land Use Policy FLU 1.20 and the basis for the <br />establishment of the Future Land Use Map designation 'Westside Overlay District" which was approved by <br />the Department of Community Affairs and was formally adopted by the Casselberry City Commission on <br />January 10, 2005; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Community Development Department has begun the implementation <br />of the goals, objectives and policies of the adopted 'Westside Small Area Study Conceptual Plan" by <br />administratively amending the Future Land Use Map designations of subject properties specifically <br />designated by the 'Westside Small Area Study Conceptual Plan" and located within the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission/Local Planning Agency has held a <br />public hearing with due public notice to consider this Comprehensive Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the question of amending the City of Casselberry Future Land Use <br />Map designations of the properties hereinafter described, has been duly held by the City Commission of the <br /> <br />City of Casselberry, Fiorida <br />Ordinance No. 05-1169 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
