Ardaman & Associates
is currently providing geotechnical engineering services for the subject project. During the.course
of our field exploration. soft deleterious organic solis were encountered in auger borings performed
within the proposed pond area located adjacent and to the south ofTriplet Lake Drive, east of U.S.
Highway 17-92. These soils were encountered in the borings between approximate depths of 10
and 21 feet. Borings performed along the existing alignment of Triplet Lake Drive terminated at
a depth shallower than the depth at which muck was encountered In the pond borings. Therefore.
it Is our recommendation that additional borings be performed to further explore the presence or
absence of the deleterious organic soils beneath the roadway.

The scope of our work will include further exploring the general subsurface conditions at selected
locations within the proposed roadway realignment areas of Triplet Lake Drive east of U.S.
Highway 17-92 to determine If the bearing capacity and other soil characteristics are suitable to
construct the proposed roadway. We will also estimate the normal seasonal high groundwater
table at the boring locations.

The following summarizes our proposed scope of work and associated fees for conducting the
subject exploration.

FIELD EXPLORATION

The field exploration program will include performing six (6) Standard Penetration Test (SPT)
borings to a depth of 25 feet at selected, accessible locations along Triplet Lake Drive east of U.S.
Highway 17-92.
