<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 12, 2005 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of 17 <br /> <br />The contract was subject to the City carrying out its due diligence and agreeing to finalize the purchase. <br />Based on the survey, appraisal and market information assembled during the due diligence period, staff <br />recommended closing on the contract with Concord Ventures, LLC, in the amount of $2,250,000 subject to <br />further due diligence. Mr. Segreto further noted the City has secured the necessary financing to purchase <br />the property, which would be considered next by the City Commission upon favorable action on completing <br />the purchase. <br /> <br />Audience Participation: Nine (9) audience comment request forms were received for this item. The <br />following individuals came forward: <br /> <br />1) Adam Pollock, 4011 South U.S. Highway 17-92, OwnerofKokapelli's Gym located in <br />Concord Center, stated his legal issues with Concord Ventures had been resolved, and on <br />behalf of his attorney and himself, thanked Mrs. Reischmann for assistance with resolving <br />the matter. Mr. Pollock stated he looked forward to a good relationship with the City and <br />would be willing to negotiate extending his lease beyond what was discussed in the <br />settlement, should the City be interested in doing so. <br /> <br />2) Kathleen Hale, 325 Southcot Drive, spoke in favor of purchasing the Concord Center <br />property in order to eliminate any chance of another adult entertainment establishment being <br />able to continue that non-conforming use on the subject property. <br /> <br />3) Charlene Glancy, 210 NE Triplet Drive, spoke in favor of pur chasing the Concord Center <br />property in order to eliminate any chance of another adult entertainment establishment being <br />able to continue that non-conforming use on the subject property. <br /> <br />4) Dodie Stevens, 233 Hill Street, spoke in favor of purchasing the Concord Center property <br />in order to eliminate any chance of another adult entertainment establishment being able to <br />continue that non-conforming use on the subject property. <br /> <br />5) Sandra Solomon, 6 Bayberry Branch, spoke in favor of purchasing the Concord Center <br />property in order to eliminate any chance of another adult entertainment establishment being <br />able to continue that non-conforming use on the subject property. Ms. Solomon submitted <br />a petition of 80 signatures in support of the purchase to the City Clerk. <br /> <br />6) Hal Billerbeck, 531 Sundown Trail, spoke in favor of purchasing the Concord Center <br />property in order to eliminate any chance of another adult entertainment establishment being <br />able to continue that non-conforming use on the subject property. <br /> <br />7) Ed Bowman, 286 Lake Griffin Circle, spoke in favor of purchasing the Concord Center <br />property in order to eliminate any chance of another adult entertainment establishment being <br />able to continue that non-conforming use on the subject property. <br /> <br />8) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in favor of purchasing the Concord <br />Center property on the condition that the appraisals matched the contract price. <br />
