Motian was seconded by Vice Mayor Hart. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />B. RESOLUTION 05-1614 - ADOPTION OF THE NATIONAL INCIDENT <br />MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (NIMS) IMPLEMENTATION PLAN <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1614 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORlZINGTHE <br />EXECUTION OF HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/HSPD-5, 28 <br />FEB 2003, NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Chief Harkins stated Resolution 05-1614 provides for adoption of the National Incident <br />Management System (NIMS) Implementation Plan. The plan will not only allow the City proceed with <br />acquisition of future grant funding, but will primarily enhance the City's incident management capability for <br />emergency operations and disaster management and mitigation. Staff recommended approval of Resolution <br />05-1614 as presented. <br /> <br />Audience Participation: No audience comment request forms were received for this items. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayar Hart moved ta approve Resolution 05-1614 <br />as presented.
