RESOLUTION 05-1607 - LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR <br />CITY RIGHTS-OF-WAY <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1607 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING <br />ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH KIRKLAND'S PEST MANAGEMENT <br />SERVICES, INC.; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Segreto stated Resolution 05-1607 provides for Award of Bid #)05-09, Landscape <br />Maintenance Service for City Rights-of-Way to Kirkland's Pest Management Services, Inc. in the amount <br />of $89,371.00. The low bid from Active Lawn Care & Landscaping, Inc. was rejected by staff for poor <br />contract performance for this specific contract scope. <br /> <br />Audience Participation: No audience comment request forms were received for this item. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner moved to approve Resolution <br />05-1607 as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice <br />Mayor Hart. Motion carried unanimously by voice <br />vote. <br /> <br />C. RESOLUTION 05- I 609 - CENTRAL FLORIDA FIRE ACADEMY INTERLOCAL <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1609 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY,FLORIDA,AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL FIRE SERVICES TRAINING AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE CENTRAL FLORIDA FIRE ACADEMY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Chief Harkins stated Resolution 05-1609 provides for an interlocaI agreement with the <br />Central Florida Fire Academy forthe provision of training resources, including facility utilization for the Fire <br />Department. Funds for participation have been budgeted in the proposed FY 2006 budget. Estimated cost <br />is $113 per certified member. Staff recommended approval of Resolution 05-1609. <br />
